Newsletter 29/01/2018

Hello everyone,

To start with I’d like to welcome everyone back. I hope everyone had a great time over the holidays and that exams/deadlines all went well. After a very busy Semester 1, I imagine you’re all as excited as I am for the second half of the club and to welcome more people into the club as we say goodbye to some of our oldest members.

Before we get into what’s to come in the next couple of weeks, I’d like to say a big thank you to Iain (Our Vice-President and resident hipster) for organising such an awesome Christmas Trip. All the stress was worth it as everyone had a great time!

What to look forward to:

Wye Valley -   Our first meet of 2018! The Wye Valley is an awesome place to climb with hard single pitches, long multi-pitches, towers, caves, trad and sport all packed into a very esoteric venue! You can find all the details here: https://su-mc.org/events/yorkshire-2/

Refreshers Social – Freshers 2.0! Don’t miss the first social of the year and the chance to welcome everyone who missed out last semester: Full details here https://su-mc.org/events/refreshers-social/

Ceilidh – Arguably the best social we run. It’s happening on the 7th of February! https://su-mc.org/events/ceilidh-w-salsasoc/

Ropes Course -  The ropes course is a must for anyone who wants to learn how to climb safely and independently. It’s happening on the 25th of February at only £40, so don’t miss the sign up on the 19th of February: https://su-mc.org/events/ropes-self-rescue-course/

As always, keep an eye on our Facebook Page for the latest on what the club is getting up to.

See you all very soon!

Rob (SUMC President)
