Newsletter 10th May 2019

Hi Everyone! This is the first of my newletters, and probably the last for the academic year, where I'll recap the last week in SUMC. If you ever have anything you want to be included don't hestitiate to get in touch with me.

Pot Luck

The new Social Secs' first social let everyone show of their culinary skill at a ‘pot luck’ dinner. Additional activities included a perfectly legitimate slackline setup and a bonfire in the garden.

Lakes

Justine and Dom’s first time running a meet went off without a hitch. Having remembered to book good (mostly) weather, the three sunny days in the Lakes were spent at Shepherd’s Crag and White Ghyll. Aparently the latter provided a character-builing approach… Rumor has it Joe even lent hand (and his near-naked body) in the kitchen where Justine had made some tasty Apple Crumble Porridge. It being the the start of the Arc’teryx Lakeland Revival, almost everyone went home with a free biner and t-shirt too!

Sends of the Week

Iain G: Kransic Crack Direct (HVS 5a) First HVS
Reggie R: Laughing Gravy (f6C) Flash

If you want your sends to appear on this list then shoot Harry a message with your UKC username and log your sick sends!

What to look forward to…

Social Saturday 11th Aaron’s for Pizza
Indoor Tue 14th Red Spider

Good luck to everyone in their exams and deadlines! Don't work too hard, as a grumpy old once said: "8a wont climb itself..."
